Track Stand

Balancing is one of the skills that you absolutely must master if you want to go a little further on your mountain bike. It is the basis for all moves, as balance is key.

1. Don't put your gear too heavy. This way you can quickly switch on if you are in danger of falling. Stand on your pedals, but do not stretch your legs. Your pedals should be horizontal to the ground. This way you can better keep your balance.

2. Turn your handlebars about 30 degrees towards your 'good' foot. (the foot you take off from a jump)

3. Now it's a matter of gently shifting your weight and using your handlebars. With practice you will quickly master this. No more clicking out and getting off at a traffic light or traffic jam!!

Tip: Work from your hips and knees.
